The British School of Almería was founded in September 2007 to meet the changing needs of a rapidly growing local community and to provide parents with the unique opportunity to be able to choose an authentic British education without needing to leave the beautiful province of Almeria.

During the last twelve years we have continued to grow and develop as a school and have been proud to see how our pupils have achieved success at universities in Spain, the United Kingdom and in a range of other countries around the world. Today, we are still the only all-through British school in the province and we continue to work hard to offer a high-quality education to pupils of all ages from 3-18 years.

In June 2018, our school became part of the UK based educational group, International Schools Partnership. This global organisation, committed to providing amazing learning experiences to pupils in all of its schools, fully support and share our school’s vision of helping each and every pupil to reach their full potential by offering a wealth of learning opportunities through which they can achieve beyond their own expectations.

At The British School of Almería, our aim is to inspire young minds and instill a real passion for learning amongst our pupils. Our dedicated team of native teachers work together to provide a creative, challenging and broad curriculum which motivates pupils to become independent learners and critical thinkers, keen to develop their knowledge both inside and outside of the classroom.

As well as striving for academic excellence, we also place a great deal of importance on the personal, moral and social development of our pupils. Through the promotion of our key values, we actively encourage our pupils to reflect upon their own role and responsibilities, not only as key members of our school community but also as open-minded global citizens who have an important part to play in the shaping of our world’s future.
