SUMMER SCHOOL IN ALMERÍA

With the arrival of summer, at The British School of Almeria we open the doors to an unforgettable experience for the little ones: our summer camp in Almeria, a program designed to combine fun, learning and living together in a safe, dynamic and completely English speaking environment.

During the month of July, The British School of Almeria opens up its Summer School to young people aged from 3 to 15 years old, where the emphasis is on English learning though a fun and varied programme of activities.

Our camp offers boys and girls a perfect opportunity to make the most of their school vacations. Through recreational, sports, creative and aquatic activities in our own facilities, we encourage autonomy, socialization and immersion in the English language in a natural and fun way.

English summer camp activities

The main focus of our camp is the linguistic immersion in English. All activities are led by bilingual or native instructors and teachers, which allows children to become familiar with the language in a real, everyday context, without the need for books or traditional classes.

Each day is structured with dynamics that stimulate comprehension and oral expression in English, from cooperative games to thematic activities, experiments, storytelling or group challenges. Children not only learn, but also gain confidence in using the language in a natural and funny way.

This approach is specially designed for children to develop their language skills without pressure, through interaction and active participation in a playful and safe environment.

Sports

Physical activity is one of the pillars of our summer program. Throughout the weeks, children enjoy a variety of sports activities that are adapted to their age and developmental level.

From team games such as soccer, basketball or volleyball to individual sports such as athletics, yoga or obstacle courses, each day is designed to foster values such as companionship, respect and effort.

Our ample outdoor spaces and sports facilities allow participants to stay active, improve their coordination and strengthen their motor skills, all in a positive and stimulating environment.

Art & Design Activities

Creativity also takes center stage at our camp. Through Art & Design workshops, children have the opportunity to express themselves freely, explore new materials and develop their imagination.

Painting, handicrafts, sculpture, collage, costume making or making recycled objects are just some of the proposals that are part of the daily activities in this area. Each week we work on a different theme, allowing students to explore art from multiple perspectives while learning vocabulary and concepts in English.

These workshops encourage self-expression, attention to detail and confidence in one’s own abilities, while reinforcing communication and teamwork.

Swimming pool

One of the most awaited moments for all the children is the pool activity. Under the constant supervision of lifeguards and monitors, students enjoy water games, swimming activities and recreational dynamics that help them cool off while having fun.

We have all the necessary safety measures in place to make this space safe and enjoyable. The pool sessions are organized by age and experience level, ensuring that each child feels comfortable and can enjoy the water with total peace of mind.
